CAN GOLFERS AND FOOTGOLFERS PLAY ON THE COURSE AT THE SAME TIME?
Since golfers and footgolfers do not use the same holes and tend not to use the same greens, the players' balls don't generally interfere with one another. The course can operate a 'shared' policy so that players can have a round of either footgolf or golf at any time, or the course can set specific times for footgolf and golf. The course could choose to run footgolf on a quiet golf day / afternoon, for example.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A FOOTGOLF COURSE?
Bear in mind that an average footgolfer can kick the ball around 50 yards. The difference between footgolf and golf is that a football will roll and bounce in myriad ways dependent on the topography of the course. The average length of a footgolf course is 2,250 yards (for 18 holes). It would take around 2 hours to complete a course of that length. Our team will support you throughout the designing and planning stages of your course.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR FOOTGOLFERS?
We promote the dress code of any golf course and make this clear to all members and players. It is recommended that footgolfers wear a collared shirt and either plain shorts or trousers at all courses. As a sport, we promote the traditional golfing attire - long socks, long shorts, collared shirts, and a traditional golf hat. This type of garb is proving very popular among players, but we don't enforce this for regular play.
